Med Tech Course

The Medication Technician class (Med Tech) prepares individuals to administer or assist with self-administration of medications in an assisted living facility. All students must currently be employed by a long term care facility at the time of the class.

There are two pretests; a math test and a reading comprehension test. Students need to pass the pretest in order to continue with the course. Initial students need $20 on a Mastercard or Visa to pay MBON for their license and $10 for uploading their picture to MBON the last day of class.

There are medication technician training programs specific to Juvenile Service, Developmental Disabilities, Assisted Living and School Health. You must be employed in one of these settings to be trained as a medication technician. See MBON website for more info.
